Re: Epoxy for hull penetrator

I use ProSeal which I found a a local dive shop. It take a day or so to cure but it is also somewhat flexible when cured.

Re: Does this look right to you?

For sure.

I have a noob question: what is the advantage of having more degrees-of-freedom (DOF)? I am not familiar with this term.

My background is aircraft mechanics and I don't think I have ever head this in reference to gyros (and if I did I forgot it).

Re: Does this look right to you?

Thank you for answering. I was hoping on using Cat5E-STP and piggy backing the video on pins 3 and 6 which are not used for the RS485 communications. . . if that is even possible? I have not decided on a final camera yet, and for the moment am using a BOSCAM HD19 as I had one on hand, but I know it ...

Does this look right to you?

Hello everyone,

After a lot of reading and no actual experience with this, this is what I have come up with as the new digital controller design.

If you see anything please let me know.

Squirrel's First ROV Attempt.

Hello Folks, I figured it was about time to stop lurking and start posting. My goal at the beginning of this project was to build a ROV for under $1500 Canadian dollars ($1150 USD) and using minimal machining. The initial intention was to build and test the electrical system using basic electro-mech...

Re: Dinsmore 1490 Wiring

Solved, a bit of an embarrassing to admit, I had a diode installed backwards. Next step is to get the stand alone eight point system working.

Dinsmore 1490 Wiring

In the main page where Stephen talks about the Dinsmore 1490, he shows the build up on the prototype card with four LEDs, but can someone explain it out for me? My attempt to reverse engineer what is saw was a bit of a fail. I have read the manufacturer designs, and I am planning on using a basic 8 ...
