Re: Mate rov underwater range finder
We have to measure the length of many different objects. For example we need to measure a "iceberg" that's made out of pvc. It has to be accurate to about 5mm. With lasers wouldn't refraction be an issue?

Mate rov underwater range finder
So for the mate completion this year we need to measure ALOT of stuff. But in past years we tried slapping on a tape measure on it. But I want to use a more eligent solution . But I also don't want to spend an arm and a leg.
Thanks

3mm u cup seals?
I have a brushless motor that had a 3 mm shaft on it. I need to waterproof it but I can not find a 3mm seal anywhere! Does anyone know where I can get one from? I really need it.
Thanks-
Erik

Re: a mate rov

We had one 50 minute team meeting a week and the rest of the work was done after school. Very cool th...

So everything done with this rov is completely on our own time after school. So why not start from the most important part...... the cont...

vectored thrust
My old rov set up was two up and down, two forwards and backwards, and two opposing horizontal motors for strafing and turning. would this setup be able to be switched over to a vectored setup? would I be able to do all the same things? what are the pros and cons of a vectored thrust setup?
