Re: Skagen ROV

I love the simplicity of your design but it also provides everything you need. Also the idea of using a lot of 3D-printed parts. I did the same in my ROV.
Hopefully the PVC pipes can hold the pressure. They dare not made for pressure from outside.

Keep on. It looks very promising.

Re: ArduROV 3

I have just a few pictures. I forgot to take more pictures during the build process. First my first 3D printed thruster. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_FLJUd7-0so/WAi-hhKNYGI/AAAAAAAAAMc/hP8s4yGrQ5s/s640/1476967856947.jpg The frame is made of polypropylene and a few stainless steel bolts...

ArduROV 3

After a long period of practicing other hobbys, working and a lot of family time I was able to finish my third homebuild ROV. My new ROV has some new features: - 6-thruster design for lateral movement - very small and easy transportable in one case - one axis gimbal for camera movement and compensat...

Re: Stopped lurking, started designing

You should replace the LED. In this position it will cause glare in your dome.
Maybe a bit more to the front or better two lights, one on each side. As far away from the dome as possible.

You are on a good way. Can´t wait to see some pictures of your build!

I would recommend https://hobbyking.com/

They have a EU warehouse in the netherlands and you can get everything you need for very good prices.

Re: New to Arduino, what should I get?

I use the same SSC. Its very easy to handle. If you need Arduino code, this is all you need for basic function: Serial2.write(255); --- start byte Serial2.write(3); --- channel (0-7) Serial2.write(128); --- servo position value (0-254) The compass is not the cheapest one but it might be a good way i...
