I tried many combinations of motor and props.
The best combination that works for me was a 500kv motor with a Graupner 65mm prop and 4s lipo.
At 100% power (forward) draws 7.47a - 2.2 kgs thrust

Aluminium 6061 is really common at US.
6082 T6 is very common at EU and it has almost the same mechanical behavior as 6061.
You can use both alloys for the same project with no problem at all.
