To my knowlegde the bilgepump motors can only take a certain amount of pressure about 30 m. Because the pressure will push the bearing that is located around the drive shaft.so hard that the driveshaft will stop.and this is only hear say.i hope somebody knows better and can prove me wrong.so i wont ...

Checkout dive store online.search for manometer.its an analog gauge.divers use to read depth.its accurate and reliable,but,you have to keep it in reach of the camera to read it

So you use a batterybox with a rubber gasket seal? And the holes were the wires comes out.just seal with saltwater silicone? Fishfinder i probably the cheapest and less complicated way.
,but do you know how many strands of wire is inside the wire itself.nice to know if im gonna buy one and cut the wire to splice on a much longer one

Was hoping 30 to 50 meters.i see steve thone uses som form of cat cable.
In my first rov i used speaker cable.yes it can take the current ,but its way to heavy.

Cat 6 cable question
Will the cat 6 cable be enough to power 3 thrusters and led lighting.i mean wil i burn the wires using 12v? .the engines themselves will take underwater ca 5 amps each

Im thinking of my new project I want to go deeper. I know with bilgepump thrusters my limit will be aprox 30 meters.but i want to go 50-60. Meters I use dc current.will i loose much current if my tether is 60-70. Meters. Its either tether or wireless .wireless is more demanding regarding waterproofi...
