Pond Pumps?

Can pond pumps be used as thrusters? I was looking on amazon and found the link below that seems like it might work. I am assuming that they would go extremely fast, and i'm not sure how deep they could go. But if I wanted to go very fast would these work well? http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-AAPW40...

Thanx! I didnt think about adapting the dredge to do that! haha and yes it would be hard to get close ;) do you think it would be powerful enough though to pick up snails and stuff like that? :l

I didnt think of that, but you are right that its easier to reel withoutfloats :)

I would just recommend strapping floats/weights to it instead, its cheaper and easier :)
