I'm looking at various ways of measuring depth. My ROV has a 3mm PVC hull containing the camera, ESCs, battery and an Arduino. The biggest problem with doing it through software is that of lag. If you want high quality real-time video over ethernet you're talking serious computing power.

I've also tried something similar, and although it made a (very( slight difference to the buoyancy, this was more than offset by the considerable drag produced by towing several meters of thick wet rope, causing the thrusters to work too hard.

Ok been digging around into that Tx and RX you have. 2.4 GHZ FASST is a totaly different animal from what I have played with. I only have the manual for the TX, which does have a trainer port. The ppm signal above was taken from it. Unfortunately I can't find a manual for the RX, so any info you can find would be much appreciated
