Re: Connecting Playstation 2 controller to arduino
It's been a little while since I worked on my setup with Xbox controller but I do remember having to adjust the programming within the ESC. Also check brake settings. A servo tester can help with testing your ESC settings.

Re: Anybody tried to use EDF motor?
I just bought some 120mm edf from hobbyking and used 1200kv motors. Just basic thrust test in tube appears promising. Will let you know.

Re: ROV project, yet to be named
Wouldn't you need a full duplex communications. I believe I saw somewhere that there's a different max dip that allows bi-directional com.

Re: Thru hull wire connectors
I am not sure those would work very well. They have an IP68 rating tested to 10 Meters. It just depends on how you configuire wire connections. It appears that the seal is on the oustide jacket of the cable, which is ok if you have a connector on each end. But in my setup I have to seal the three wi...

Re: Thru hull wire connectors
I did look at the Seacon brand connectors on there site and do look nice. I am sure out of price range for hobby stuff. I am in the US, so will try some local companies. I would be a little worried just potting the outside jacket on a multi-wire cable as some have done. Other potting methods look go...

Thru hull wire connectors
Anybody have a good source for wire connectors and bulkhead fittings. Looking for something good to 150' or so in 3 pin configuration for thruster motors and maybe 8 -10 pin for umbilical.

Re: KR2 ROV
There should be a full range of control with the ESC. Maybe just try some code without the ps2 controller and see what happens through the PWM range. I am working on something very similar using the Xbox controller. Using servo appears to have full range of motion. I did notice this controller is wo...

Re: PS2 Control of Brushless Motor and ESC via Arduino
Just started working on a similar project. Xbox controller >>>>arduino >>>tether>>>> arduino on rov. I have the controller working fine with the servo library for the control of the ESC's. Just starting with the whole arduino programming. The questions I have are I need bi-directional communications...

Re: Running Brushless DC in Water
Know of anyone who has tried a rc ducted fan unit. I am sure you would have to slow the motor down or even change the motor to a lower kv.
