Re: Bilge pump amps and Arduino motor shields
I'm using those sparkfun monster motor clone shields with bilge pumps and they can handle a them no problem. They aren't the best designed motor shields out there but they do work, especially for $11 each. I like this one more but it is considerably more expensive: https://a.pololu-files.com/picture...

Re: Bluerobotics.com Inexpensive Thrusters
that is encouraging! the mate forum is even less active than this one. :) I'm not sure I'd get a response there or if it even meant anything. I reread the safety inspection, and it isn't super clear to me if they would be legal. The rules say the there can be no exposed wires or motors, but reading ...

Re: Cad programs?
Both autocad and solidworks are free or have a huge discount if you are a student. Inventor is free while solidworks is $100.
I've been using solidworks lately, and it is a fantastic program. I am a pretty good autocad user and I picked it up pretty quickly.

pulsein is tough?
the multiwii quad guys have the code. you'd just need to find it and bring it over.

Re: Lipo monitor
On i2c you can have as many slaves as you want connected to one master (Arduino in your case). That is because every i2c device has it unique serial number and while you are programming master there is a sequence when every device should present itself (one at the time) and master save it (in your ...

Re: PS2 Control of Brushless Motor and ESC via Arduino
the libraries live in arduino/libraries/ps2 library name. the actual code is probably in a .cpp file. There is also a header file (.h) that contains the function prototypes. the keywords file just tells the arduino ide which words to change the color of to make it easier to see.
