Re: depth sensor

Will do. I disassembled electronics due to motor testing. I will reassemble it in few days and post some photos and info (if my 2 month baby girl allows it :)).

Re: RS232 v RS485

I implemented two rs232 to rs485 converters from arduino to PC, works fine. I had some problems so keep in mind: 1) Don't use arduino pins 0 and 1 for communication, use 2 other pins (i used 2 & 3) 2) Maybe you'll need to invert serial signals ( i had to). You can fix both issues with NewSoftSer...

Re: depth sensor

So far so good. I implemented it into arduino, works fine but needs differential amplifier. I can send amp schematics. Now i need to calibrate it. What sensor do u have?

Re: First ROV Project

Arduino uno or duemillanove can handle 6 pwm channels if you use dc motors. If you use brushless motors you can drive one motor on each digital pin so that should be enough. I started designing my ROV with PIC16f84, after that with PIC 18f1330 with PWMs and i had lot of problems. Programming PICs ta...

Re: depth sensor

Of course, they are waterproof. I will put it in the hose and seal wire connectors and lower part of sensor.

I purchased 2 sensors, 2.5$ per sensor and 7$ shipping to Croatia. I use arduino to read analog values.

Re: Potting compounds

I used 2 component epoxy resin for potting my LED lights.
